An Ishgnu artist since 2005

Formed in the Fall of 2005, (a) Band of Pirates has played in the heart of Illinois to very enthusiastic reviews. The group recorded their first self-titled EP in August and September of 2006, later releasing a Christmas album in the same year. Because of approaching college plans, the band decided to end things, but plans to split were put on hold once they began to receive some large-market airtime (most notably Q101.9 in Chicago).

MAREN LOWREY - A musician from her early days, Maren is the lead female vocal behind aBoP, in addition to her guitar, banjo, and songwriting contributions. Showing that the best have diverse interests, she is a Cadet in the United States Army, aspiring to be a medicial specialist at West Point Military Academy in New York.

TONY COLANTINO - Formerly with The Buzzkillers, and no stranger to solo work, Tony's shaggy locks help hold the drive of A Band of Pirates. A 2006 graduate of Rochester High School (Illinois), Colantino is presently a student at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and pursues a number of musical projects on the side.
